Ishaan Brar

Founder and CEO

Ishaan Brar is a senior at Stockdale High School, a dedicated student of the sciences, young social entrepreneur, and Founder and Executive Director of Healthy Community. He is an Intel ISEF Finalist (2019), and placed fourth in Biomedical Engineering. He is the President of the Debate team and enjoys competing in Forensics and Science competitions. He competed in the National Speech and Debate Tournament in Dallas, Texas, in 2019. He especially loves giving back to the community through projects and advocacy. He is an Eagle Scout and STEM advocate, and recently worked to successfully convince the Kern County Science Foundation to adopt ISEF affilation, so Kern County students can compete at high level science research events. He started Healthy Community to help the underserved and underprivileged members of our community and to make medical care accessible to all, irrespective of insurance or socio-economic status. Recently, during the COVID 19 pandemic, he started a podcast called Doctors Speak, where he interviews medical professionals on the stories and challenges they face in a career in medicine, to inform the students considering medicine, and the general public, gain a deeper understanding the human side of the medical lifestyle.

Harjaisal Brar

Vice President

Harjaisal Brar is a freshman at Stockdale High School and is the Healthy Community Webmaster. He is a member of Stockdale Forensics, where he competes in Lincoln Douglas, debating the ethical issues that policy actions create. He is a dedicated scientific inventor, currently developing a timely invention that will help solve current ventilator shortages. Having seen a lack of local programs dedicated to helping students develop real scientific, mathematical, and technical skills, such as coding, he has been teaching free coding classes for local elementary school students, and is developing a program to help underprivileged youth with understanding math and to provide them with opportunities for science research. Harjaisal is also an Eagle Scout, and volunteers at several other local community organizations with his troop.
